India's artisanal heritage is both vast and ancient, spanning millennia of rich craftsmanship and cultural tradition. However, today, this invaluable legacy faces significant challenges. In many cases the younger generations within traditional handicraft communities are reluctant to continue their ancestral crafts due to inadequate earnings, lack of profitability, and insufficient support systems. As a result, these cherished handicrafts are at risk of fading away in various parts of India.
